The SpecSprint Story
I started my engineering career at Exxon, where I witnessed brilliant engineers drowning in paperwork. Specifications scattered across multiple systems, RFQs requiring hours of manual analysis, and critical project details lost in translation. The same story repeated when I ran a construction company—smart people burning time on tasks that computers could handle better.
After spending countless hours manually extracting pump specifications, valve requirements, and system parameters from hundreds of RFQs and drawings, I realized there had to be a better way. In 2018, I founded SpecSprint to solve the document processing challenge that plagues every technical industry. We started by building tools for the Houston industrial services market—where specifications are life-or-death critical and margins are razor-thin.
What began as a way to process pump specifications faster evolved into a comprehensive platform that handles everything from complex P&ID drawings to multi-thousand-page RFQ packages. Today, SpecSprint processes millions of technical documents, helping manufacturers, contractors, and distributors make faster, more accurate decisions.
